Dr. Tarsys Loayza Roys, general director of the spa-type clinic Sonrisa Perfecta Dental will be present at the next CIS Congress. This is the most important event run by the International Health Confederation, which will take place in the city of Barranquilla.
The meeting has been called the CIS Medical Barranquilla 2024 Congress and will bring together the most prominent members of the international health sector. Dozens of medical professionals, as well as companies linked to the sector, will grace the Atlantic capital between June 28 and 29.
The latest advances in health will be known
The organizers of the congress have announced an ambitious program in which professionals from all over the world will be able to present the latest advances in medicine. The vice president of the CIS, Humberto García Córdova will be in charge of opening the meeting with his welcoming words. The conferences will begin immediately.
The first to speak will be Dr. Rodolfo Ondarza Rovira who, from Mexico, will bring his presentation titled ‘Bioethics beyond principles’. He will be followed, in Colombia, by Dr. Hernando Vargas Uricoechea, in charge of speaking on ‘Children’s Reconstructive Plastic Surgery’. Dr. Josephine López will arrive from the Dominican Republic to talk about dermatological emergencies in adults.
After the first coffee break, the Northern Health Network of Colombia will present the new sustainable measures in the hospital management of patients. This presentation will be in charge of the Communications Area of said institution. Later, doctors Eduardo Santillana and Virginia Pérez from Ecuador and the Dominican Republic respectively, will talk about the psychogeriatric patient and hepatitis.

Dr. Tarsys Loayza Roys reported that she has been invited to the meeting as an international speaker. Although she did not want to delve into the topic on which she will make her presentation, she did anticipate that it will be shocking. A second intense day at the CIS General Assembly
The second day of activity will be dedicated to the different awards planned for this meeting. The organizers have scheduled a gala divided into 3 blocks assigned according to the category of the nominated professional or institution. The Health Wellbeing Award will be included in Block I; Quality & Patient Safety. Professionals and clinical institutions will be competing here with optimal service provision.
In Award Block II, the Medical Merit Award in the COVID19 Pandemic will be awarded. This is a recognition that will only be aimed at professionals with responsibilities in the so-called first line of care. Institutions that, with their work, effectively contributed to facing this difficult global health crisis are also competing.
Finally, in Block III the Health Entrepreneur in Environmental Care award will be awarded. According to CIS spokespersons, it is aimed at institutions that ensure the provision of good service incorporating sustainable practices for the environment. That is to say, they care not only about the patient, but also about the overall well-being.
